Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd in Tarleton is recruiting a HGV Class 2 driver for full-time work on wastewater contracts across the North West. You will drive vacuum tankers, perform on-site tasks and liaise with the depot team to coordinate collections and disposals. Hours are 47.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with enhanced overtime pay.

A full UK license with up to 6 penalty points is required, and a valid CPC is desirable. Full training will be provided.

Department: Tankering North

Tankering North forms a key part of Lanes Group's wastewater and environmental services offering, providing specialist liquid waste management, tankering, jet-vac, and emergency response services across Northern England and Scotland. Operating from strategically located depots within the wider Lanes network, the division supports utility companies, industrial customers, local authorities, facilities management providers, and commercial businesses with both planned and reactive services.

The team utilises a fleet of high-performance vacuum tankers and jet vac units capable of handling hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste, sludge, slurry, floodwater, and wastewater. Services range from routine tank emptying and interceptor cleaning through to large-scale emergency spill response and flood relief operations, delivered on a 24/7, 365-day basis.

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for HGV Class 2 drivers to work on a full time basis for days on our waste water contracts operating throughout the North West working out of our site in Tarleton.

Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the North West of England. A phone will outline the navigation for the routes and jobs whilst working.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK drivers licence is required holding no more than 6 points. A valid Class 1 is also required. Full training will be provided.

Location: Tarleton

Hours: 47.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Enhanced pay for overtime.

Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour.
