Job summary

Unitruc Ltd in Widnes is seeking a full-time driver trainee to learn safe delivery and collection of chemicals. You will train with experienced HGV instructors and gain essential skills for a permanent role.

You’ll be paid hourly with overtime after 51.75 hours, weekly pay, and a range of benefits including training, pension, holidays, and a health plan after one year of service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Widnes

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, with 4 nights out a week

Salary: Salary: £17.00 per hour. Overtime after 51.75 hours per week at 1.3x, weekends at 1.5x and bank holidays at 2x. Plus a £40 per week good workmanship bonus, paid monthly. Night outs paid at £31.25.

The Role

You’ll start out alongside one of our experienced HGV driver trainers, learning how to safely deliver and collect a range of chemicals.

• All PPE for your training is issued to you before you start.
• Every week brings a different job – no two days are the same.
• You’re paid for every hour worked, as per your tachograph, including breaks.
• Jobs are allocated throughout the week by email and our transport team, so good communication – flagging any delays, issues, or relevant info – keeps everything running smoothly.
