Job summary

Unitruc Logistics Ltd in Widnes is seeking a Class 1 HGV ADR Tanker Driver to join a family-run team. You’ll drive with your own tanker and work a Monday–Friday schedule with four nights out per week, earning over £62,500 annually with overtime.

The role includes training at a reduced rate during onboarding, paid travel time, and benefits such as 20 days holiday, pension, and health plan after year one. ADR tanker licence, CPC, and digital tachograph are required.

Qualifications

• ADR licence in tanks (all classes except 1 & 7).
• HGV Class 1 licence required.
• Valid digital tachograph and up-to-date CPC card.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely deliver and collect a range of chemicals alongside an experienced trainer.
• PPE provided before start.
• Weekly pay with pay per hour worked and breaks included.
• Communicate delays or issues to transport team to keep operations smooth.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Widnes

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, with 4 nights out a week

Salary: £62,500 per year based on 10 hours' OT/week, 4 nights out and £2,400 of bonuses – more if weekends and additional overtime are worked

The Role

You'll start out alongside one of our experienced HGV driver trainers, learning how to safely deliver and collect a range of chemicals.

• All PPE for your training is issued to you before you start.
• Every week brings a different job – no two days are the same.
• You're paid for every hour worked, as per your tachograph, including breaks.
• Jobs are allocated throughout the week by email and our transport team, so good communication – flagging any delays, issues, or relevant info – keeps everything running smoothly.

What You'll Need

• A keen, efficient approach and sound safe working practices.
• ADR licence in tanks, all classes except 1 & 7.
• A genuine focus on your own health and safety, and that of the people around you.
• Valid digital tachograph.
• Up-to-date CPC card.
