Job summary

HR Employment Bureau Redditch is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for hazardous waste operations in Bootle. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a base pay of £17 per hour and opportunities for overtime. Free ADR training is provided within 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities include transporting waste across the UK, ensuring regulatory compliance, performing safety checks, and maintaining equipment. Night-out shifts may occur as required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and transport legislation.
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety.
• Flexibility to undertake occasional nights out and additional hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Transporting and collecting hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from various locations across the UK.
• Ensuring full compliance with all relevant transport, environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Completing daily vehicle walkaround checks, recording inspections and reporting defects.
• Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
• Undertaking some manual handling and occasional yard duties when required.
• Adhering to drivers' hours regulations and working time requirements.
• Completing occasional nights out as required by operational demands.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally and efficiently.

HGV Class 1 Driver – Hazardous Waste

Location: Bootle, Merseyside

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + Overtime

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a well-established and growing company specialising in hazardous waste management and recycling, based in Bootle earning a base rate of £17.00 per hour with free training to obtain your ADR starting within 90 days of starting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 1 Driver looking for a permanent position with opportunities for overtime and additional earnings.
