Job summary

StaffCo Direct in Middleton is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing, temp-to-perm roles. You will perform lock and drop nighttime deliveries with start times between 16:00 and 21:00, earning competitive PAYE rates from £19.75 to £25 per hour with holiday pay.

The position offers immediate starts, paid assessments and induction, a full week of paid buddy shifts to help you settle, and weekly pay. A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence (2+ years), CPC and Tachograph card, and clean penalty history

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 2 years.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or IN offences).
• Good communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of store deliveries.

Responsibilities

StaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work based in Middleton. This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent long-term work, immediate starts, competitive PAYE rates, and the potential to secure a permanent position with our client.

Drivers will benefit from fully paid assessments, induction, and a full week of paid buddy shifts to help familiarise themselves with routes and stores before working independently.

Pay Rates (PAYE)

• Weekday PM: £19.75ph plus accrued holiday or, £22.13ph including holiday
• Weekday Overtime (after 10 hours): £25.00ph
• Saturday: £20ph plus accrued holiday or, £22.41ph including holiday pay
• Sunday: £22ph plus accrued holiday or, £24.65ph including holiday pay

What the role involves

You'll be completing lock and drop nighttime store deliveries with start times between 16:00 and 21:00.

This is a genuine ongoing opportunity with temp-to-perm positions available for the right candidates. Drivers can expect regular work and the opportunity to earn £1,000+ per week.

Immediate starts are available, with paid assessments, paid induction, and a full week of paid buddy shifts provided to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Our ideal candidate

• Holds a valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 2 years
• Has a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

• Has good communication skills
• Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out store delivery work
