Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for temporary ongoing work. The role involves wagon and drag work with two artic units recently added, and shifts from Monday to Friday starting at 02:00 with a guaranteed 10-hour shift.

Pay includes £20.00/hr for 02:00-06:00, £17/hr for remaining hours, and overtime at £26.25/hr; nights out payable at £26.20 per night. Night outs 1–3 per week; good driver hours compliance and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Flexible and professional approach to work.
• Previous wagon and drag experience.
• Experience in general haulage or multi-drop operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are roadworthy before departure.
• Complete deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.
• Operate primarily wagon and drag combinations, with occasional artic work.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport regulations.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation.
• Adhere to company health and safety procedures at all times.
• Drivers will be expected to complete between 1 and 3 nights out per week, although this is currently typically 1 to 2 nights out.

Job description
