Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Class 1 Driver at the Skelmersdale site to support our UK network. The role focuses on safe, timely movement of automotive parts and involves trunking between distribution centres with double-deck trailers.

Shifts are 50 hours weekly with start times between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 12 months of relevant experience, and be capable of manual handling.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have at least 12 months of recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Are comfortable carrying out manual handling activities as part of the role.
• Are reliable, self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Trunking collections and deliveries of automotive parts between Distribution Centres across the UK using double-deck trailers.
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including loading and unloading of trailers; driving safely and efficiently in line with regulations.
• Completing vehicle checks and maintaining transport documentation accurately.
• Maintaining health and safety standards in line with road safety legislation and company procedures.
