Job Title: Class 1 Shunter Driver – Ongoing Temp - Perm Work

Location: Gainsborough (DN21 area)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (ongoing)

Start Times: Between 05:00 AM – 07:00 AM

Overview:

We are a recruitment agency hiring on behalf of a well-established food company in Gainsborough (DN21). We are looking for reliable and experienced Class 1 Drivers for ongoing shunting work on a temp-perm basis.

Responsibilities:

• Positioning trailers on and off the bay
• Starting between 5am – 7am
• Hooking trailers onto units
• Communicating with transport and warehouse teams regarding trailers and bays

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Up-to-date CPC and Tacho Card
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 experience (shunting experience preferred but not essential)

Benefits:

• PAYE rate before 07:00 start: £19.71/hour (including holiday accrual)
• PAYE rate after 07:00 start: £16.34/hour (including holiday accrual)
• Consistent Monday–Friday work
• Full-time contract after 12 full weeks
• Daily £6.00 meal allowance
• Free meal in the canteen each day

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid CAT CE Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence; offences like IN10, DR10, MS10, TS10, TT99 are not acceptable
