Job summary

GXO Glasgow is looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team supporting our customer B&Q. You'll be on a five days out of seven pattern, on PM shift with start times between 12:00 and 17:00, performing multidrop and trunking deliveries.

We offer an annual salary of £47,454.53, with an early shift premium and potential extra shift premium, 28 days’ annual leave, dental insurance, a company pension, 24/7 GP, life assurance and GXO University; all designed to make every journey

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.
