Job summary

GXO Blyth is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the transport team, supporting customer B&Q. You will work on a five-from-seven pattern, on PM shifts starting 15:00–18:00, with various overtime and shift premiums. An annual salary of £43,643 and additional hourly premiums apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.
