Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver based in Kirkby Thore. The role involves night shifts, typically 10–11 hours, from Monday to Friday, with starts around 5pm.

You will operate HGV Class 1 vehicles on a contract for British Gypsum, handling trailers that are preloaded and strapped. Key responsibilities include safe driving, moving stock across the network, dropping and swapping trailers, and adhering to FORS Gold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV C+E Licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digi card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements on licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Move stock loads across the network from Kirkby Thore to Sherburn (Leeds area), then to the Midlands and back to Kirkby Thore.
• Drop and swap preloaded trailers, ensuring straps are secure.
• Operate the latest equipment and drive to FORS Gold level safety standards.

Pay Rate: £17.70

We are currently recruiting LGV CE Drivers to join our team in Kirkby Thore, working on our contract with British Gypsum. Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Moving stock loads around our network going from Kirkby Thore to Sherburn which is Leeds area then down to the midlands and back up to Kirkby Thore.
• Dropping and swapping trailers which are all preloaded and strapped.
• Driving the latest equipment and operating to FORS Gold level safety standards

Requirements

• Valid LGV C+E Licence
• An up-to-date CPC and DIGI card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
