Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver for Sunday to Thursday shifts at Marsh Leys, Bedford. The role offers a permanent full-time contract with starting times at 18:00 or 20:00, and a salary of £49,699 based on a 48-hour week.

Location is Marsh Leys, Bedford MK43 9AA, with paid breaks and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 6 months of recent Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E).
• Must have 6 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Wagon and drag experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive a wagon and draw vehicle – training provided.
• Deliveries and collections across southern England.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations.
• Comply with health and safety standards and Highway Code.
• Regular vehicle checks and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Manual handling of customer products.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Duties will be on a wagon and draw vehicle - training provided
• Collection and delivery and collection of boxes at various home delivery sites across the south of England
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products
