Job summary

Ideal Recruit is seeking motivated Class 1 HGV (C+E) Night Drivers to join a well-established Birmingham operation. This is a stable, long-term, full-time role offering guaranteed hours and night work, with opportunities for newly qualified drivers as well as experienced professionals.

Shifts typically start around 14:00, and drivers handle palletised freight, paperwork, and daily vehicle checks, ensuring safety on the road. Night rates are competitive, paid PAYE directly.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC Card & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only).
• Flexible, positive attitude with a strong commitment to vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate night shifts with 1 to 3 wave runs per shift.
• Handle palletised freight, including loading and unloading.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain road safety standards.
