Job summary

Ideal Recruit is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for a client based in Bedford. The role involves deliveries to UK stores with 2-3 drops of caged goods and some collections. PAYE rates apply, with day, afternoon and night shifts and overtime opportunities.

Shifts run Monday through Sunday; weekend premiums may apply based on scheduling.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (category C+E).
• At least 6 months of experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Experience driving refrigerated units preferred.
• Valid Driver's CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to stores across the UK with 2–3 drops of caged goods per shift.
• Some collections included.
• Shifts available: Days, Afternoons, Nights; Mon–Sun.

Job description

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

The role will include deliveries to their stores across the UK, with an average of 2-3 drops of caged goods and some collections.

Rates of Pay: PAYE.

FROM 1st NOVEMBER TO 13th DECEMBER

Day rate £17.00 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £23.92 p/h.

Afternoon rate £19.30 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £26.22 p/h.

Night rate £20.66 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £27.58 p/h.

FROM 13th DECEMBER TO 3rd JANUARY

Day rate £17.96 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £24.88 p/h.

Afternoon rate £20.30 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £27.22 p/h.

Night rate £21.66 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £28.58 p/h.

From 1st December to 3rd January, drivers who work a weekend shift will receive a £1 hourly premium for all hours worked during that week.
