Job summary

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Lutterworth. The role involves deliveries to stores across the UK, with an average of 2–3 drops of caged goods and some collections.

Rates of Pay: PAYE. Pay scales vary by time of day and overtime, with weekend premiums during peak periods. Full shifts across days, afternoons and nights with paid breaks and assessment.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 entitlement (C+E) required.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Experience driving refrigerated units preferred.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points on the licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to stores across the UK with 2–3 drops of caged goods.
• Some collections may be required.
• Shifts include Days, Afternoons and Nights.
• Paid assessment is required and breaks are fully paid.
• Weekend shifts may have a £1 premium during the specified period.

Job description

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Lutterworth.

The role will include deliveries to their stores across the UK, with an average of 2-3 drops of caged goods and some collections.

Rates of Pay: PAYE.

FROM 1st NOVEMBER TO 13th DECEMBER

Day rate £16.96 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £23.88 p/h.

Afternoon rate £20.10 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £27.02 p/h.

Night rate £21.79 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £28.71 p/h.

FROM 13th DECEMBER TO 3rd JANUARY

Day rate £17.96 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £24.88 p/h.

Afternoon rate £21.10 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £28.02 p/h.

Night rate £22.79 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies). Overtime after 45 hours £29.71 p/h.

From 1st December to 3rd January, drivers who work a weekend shift will receive a £1 hourly premium for all hours worked during that week.

Additional Information

Paid assessment is required.

Fully paid breaks.

Shift availability: Days / Afternoons / Nights — shifts from Monday to Sunday.

You will need to meet the below criteria to be considered for the vacancy:

• HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (category C+E).
• At least 6 months of experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Experience driving refrigerated units preferred.
• Valid Driver's CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements.
