Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a committed Class 1 driver for a mix of day and night shifts on the South Coast. You will handle palletised goods, with pallets loaded/unloaded by FLT and trunk runs during night shifts, ensuring paperwork is completed accurately.

Valid UK Class 1 licence with CPC and Digi card required, minimum 1 year driving experience, and excellent communication skills. Own transport to reach sites is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence with CPC and Digi card.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with curtain side trailers / general haulage deliveries / strapping.
• Own transport to commute to and from work.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and follow health and safety procedures.
• Record Tacho hours accurately.

Responsibilities

• AD HOC work (Mon-Fri)
• Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
• Completing deliveries and some collections around the South Coast area
• Day and Night shifts available (10-12 hour days on average)
• Pallets loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
• Night shifts include trunk runs and trailer swaps
• Communicating with Transport Office and completing paperwork correctly
