Recycling Lives Services in Preston is seeking a skilled Class 1 Driver to join our expanding fleet. You will work closely with the Transport Manager to bring third-party haulage in-house, ensuring safe loading, timely deliveries, and professional interaction with customers and sites.

The role requires a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph knowledge, with preference for curtain-side trailer experience. Competitive hourly rate and pension benefits offered.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence is required.
• CPC card and Digital Tachograph knowledge are essential.
• Experience with curtain-side trailers is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK driving laws and local areas is required.

Aufgaben

• Operate Class 1 vehicles, primarily curtain-side trailers, for deliveries and collections.
• Collaborate with Transport Manager to transition third-party haulage in-house.
• Carry out safe loading/unloading, sheeting, and securing of loads.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery, collection and tachograph records.
• Plan routes to meet schedules and delivery windows.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and sites.
• Support the wider transport team as the fleet grows.
