Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) to operate from Hereford. You will handle full pallet deliveries on curtain-sided trucks with no night outs, supporting nationwide and regional routes.

The role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service while maintaining vehicle standards. The position offers regular work, town-centre paid rates, and benefits including weekly pay and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Hold a valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes).
• Have no more than 9 points for minor endorsements.
• Complete induction, theory assessment, vehicle checks, driving assessment and reversing test.

Responsibilities

• Full pallet deliveries using curtain-sided vehicles.
• No handballing required.
• Distance runs available.
• Primarily forklift loading and unloading.
• Trailer swaps where required.
• Monday to Friday pattern.
• Optional extra shift every other week.
• No tramping or overnight stays.
