Job summary

Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers based in Gloucester. This temp-to-perm role offers ongoing work with a potential for permanent positions. You will undertake general haulage deliveries to RDCs, retail stores, and other sites, with options for Day or Night shifts and occasional nights out.

Applicants including newly qualified drivers are welcome. A half-day driving assessment is required before starting, and there is a choice of shift patterns to suit your

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.

Pay: £15.00 per hour (Days) | £15.85 per hour (Nights)

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off

Wright Staff Recruitment are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of a valued client based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with the potential of a permanent position.

The Role

You’ll be completing general haulage deliveries to a variety of locations including RDCs, retail stores and other commercial sites. This role offers regular work with a choice of shift patterns to suit your lifestyle.

Please note that occasional nights out may be required, and tramper drivers are also welcome to apply.

Important: A half-day driving assessment is required before starting. Please note this assessment is unpaid.

Duties Include

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of UK driving legislation and compliance requirements.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Days: £15.00 per hour
