Job summary

The Best Connection Group is seeking Class 1 (C+E) drivers for Bridgwater-based operations. This role offers trunk deliveries, general haulage, and tramp runs across the UK with reliable, ongoing work.

Paid hourly: Days £16.00, Nights £17.00, Nights out £25.00, with a minimum of 8 paid hours per shift. Shifts run Day 07:00–08:00 and Night 15:00–17:00, ensuring steady work throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in Class 1 driving (desirable but not essential).
• Knowledge of UK road networks and tachograph rules.
• Positive attitude and focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 (C+E) driving duties including trunking, deliveries, or collections.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and follow DVSA standards.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records.
• Communicate with transport planners and depot staff.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.

About the Role

Our Bridgwater based client is a well-established transport and logistics company with a strong reputation for delivering reliable haulage services across the UK. Operating a modern fleet and working with a wide range of customers, they offer stable, ongoing work in a supportive working environment.

They are currently looking for Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a variety of roles, including a choice of trunk deliveries, general haulage deliveries and tramping. This is a great opportunity to join a professional operation that values its drivers and provides consistent work throughout the year.

Pay Rates:

• Days: £16.00 per hour
• Nights: £17.00 per hour
• Nights out at £25.00
• Minimum 8hrs paid per shift

Shift Times:

• Day Shift: Starts at 07:00-08.00
• Night Shift: Starts at 15:00-17:00.
