Job summary

Gregory Distribution is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join their team on a 4on 4off rota. You will deliver to retail stores across the UK using curtain side, tail lift, and box trailers, while maintaining high safety and service standards.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, manage loads, and communicate with the transport office to ensure on-time deliveries. A CPC and UK Class 1 licence are required, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
• Possess a current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores on a dedicated contract using curtain side, tail lift and box trailers.
• Maintain a 1–3 drops per shift delivery schedule.
• Safely secure loads with straps and nets.
• Operate electric-assisted pallet trucks and perform manual handling.
• Coordinate trailer movements and return trailers for servicing.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report issues.
• Communicate with transport office about progress and changes in real time.
• Represent the company with excellent customer service at every delivery point.
• Participate in training and regulatory updates to keep skills current.
