Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL is seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver based in the East Midlands Derby area to join a busy operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries, typically 2 drops per shift, nationwide, on pallets, with occasional unloading. A strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide.
• Average of 2 drops per shift.
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network.
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets.
• Occasionally assist with unloading (approx. 2% of deliveries).
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and The Highway Code.

Shift patterns: Working Monday to Friday starting at 12am
Location: East Midlands Gateway - Derby

We're currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and professional operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of
  2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally (approximately 2% of deliveries) you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
