Job summary

Manpower are recruiting a Class 1 driver (C+E) for a leading confectionery distributor in the York area. The role is temporary but long-term ongoing, with ad hoc hours typically 2 to 4 shifts per week, including days, nights, and weekends.

You may be asked to drive, load/unload, and perform some shunting. Applicants must have 12 months of Class 1 experience and no more than 3 points on their licence; there will be a 3-hour assessment followed by three days of training on site.

Qualifications

• 12+ months Class 1 experience.
• No more than 3 points on licence.
• Willingness to attend on-site induction and training.

Responsibilities

• Drive loads and unload when required.
• Perform shunting and trunking tasks as needed.
• Cover ad hoc shifts to meet workload and overtime requirements.
• Work on a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.

Manpower are looking to recruit a Class 1 driver (C+E) to work at one of the largest confectionery distributors in the UK, based in the York area

The ideal candidate must be flexible and be able to work various shifts days, nights, nights away, shunting. There will be weekend work also.

Working on average 2 to 4 shifts per week. - This is ad hoc requirement to cover extra work load, holidays and sickness so we cant guarantee regular hours

We are looking for driver that can work any required shifts (days, nights, trunking, shunting) and be fully flexible.

Pay rates

Meal Allowance up tp £10

Min of 6 hours paid per shift.
On average 8 to 12 hours shifts

There are various aspects of the role, you will be expected to drive load and unload if needs be and also there will be some shunting work involved.

This vacancy is on a temporary but long term ongoing basis

To be considered for this role you must have 12 month + Class 1 experience and have no more than 3 points on your licence - no disqualification's will be accepted, the successful candidate will be put forward for a 3 hour assessment/induction on site followed by 3 days of training.
