Job summary

Manpower UK Limited is recruiting a Class 1 driver (C+E) for a leading confectionery distributor in the York area. The role requires flexibility across days, nights, nights away and weekends with 2–4 shifts per week on ad hoc basis.

Shifts are 8–12 hours with meal allowance up to £10 and a 6-hour minimum per shift. 12+ months Class 1 experience and ≤3 points are required, with site assessment and 3 days of training. Temporary but long-term ongoing.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months+ Class 1 experience.
• No more than 3 points on licence; no disqualifications accepted.
• Assessment/induction on site followed by training (3 days).
• Temporary but long term ongoing role.

Responsibilities

• Drive, load and unload as required.

Job description

Manpower are looking to recruit a Class 1 driver (C+E) to work at one of the largest confectionery distributors in the UK, based in the York area

The ideal candidate must be flexible and be able to work various shifts days, nights, nights away, shunting. There will be weekend work also.

Working on average 2 to 4 shifts per week. - This is ad hoc requirement to cover extra work load, holidays and sickness so we cant guarantee regular hours

We are looking for driver that can work any required shifts (days, nights, trunking, shunting) and be fully flexible.

Pay rates

Meal Allowance up tp £10

Min of 6 hours paid per shift.

On average 8 to 12 hours shifts

There are various aspects of the role, you will be expected to drive load and unload if needs be and also there will be some shunting work involved.

This vacancy is on a temporary but long term ongoing basis

To be considered for this role you must have 12 month + Class 1 experience and have no more than 3 points on your licence - no disqualification's will be accepted, the successful candidate will be put forward for a 3 hour assessment/induction on site followed by 3 days of training.
