Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking reliable Class 1 Drivers to join a respected UK logistics and distribution network in Wishaw. You will operate the Class 1 vehicle on planned routes, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate paperwork.

Role involves daily vehicle checks, loading/unloading, and communicating with the operations team to maintain efficient service. Strong knowledge of UK road transport rules and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E licence and CPC with Tachograph card.
• Proven driving experience in Class 1 operations is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of road transport regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the operations team.
• Follow road transport legislation and company policies.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years previous Class 1 driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
