Job summary

Grafters Recruit Ltd are looking for LGV Class 1 Lorry Drivers to support our growing team in Magna Park area (LE17 4XH). This role involves trunking and store deliveries with a range of shifts and weekend work.

Applicants must hold a valid LGV C+E licence, Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC, with no more than 6 points and at least 6 months driving experience. Competitive hourly rates apply with weekend premiums.

Qualifications

• LGV HGV (C+E) Class 1 licence must be valid.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC (Full) card required.
• Licence points must not exceed 6 and licence held for at least 6 months.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience required.
• Flexibility with shifts and duties is essential.
• Ability to meet site KPI time-critical delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete stock deliveries and trunking to stores within required timescales.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with legislation.
• Attend training as required to maintain role readiness and safety.
• Maintain Health & Safety by following safe working practices.
• Report any accidents or equipment damage promptly.
• Multi-drop deliveries to stores and keep truck clean.

Rates

• Monday to Friday - £17.29 p/h
• Saturday - £20.20 p/h
• Sunday - 21.84 p/h

Available shifts

• Tue - Sat 21:00 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• 1 x 4 on - 4 off 21:00 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• 1 x 4 on - 4 off 22:00 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• Wed - Sun 00:30 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• 2 x 4 on - 4 off 00:30 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• 1 x 4 on - 4 off 03:00 start (1 delivery & 1 collection per shift around 12-13 hours per shift)
• 1 x Thu - Sun 12:00 (manual handling and lifting baskets, offloading and pushing stock to the warehouse, reload your trailer, Double Deckers)
• 00:15 -04:00 weekends Ad Hoc drivers needed

Your role will include

• Trunking and Store Deliveries to Aldi and Lild network plus collections.

The Role

• You will be required to accurately and efficiently complete delivery of stock within timescales set.
• You will ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in line with legislation.
• You will attend any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
• You will be responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act.
• You will report any accident or damage to any equipment or machinery.
• You will be multi dropping deliveries to stores.
• Always keep your truck clean.

Experience and Qualifications

• You MUST hold a valid in date LGV HGV (C+E) Class 1 licence.
• You MUST hold a Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Full Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• You MUST not have no more than 6 points on your licence.
• Your licence MUST have been held for at least 6 months.
• You MUST have experience for minimum 6 months.
• Commercial driving experience is desirable.
• You must be fully flexible in relation to shifts and duties.
• You must be able to provide a time critical delivery service in line with site KPI's including fuel efficiency.
• Each driver will be required to pass an assessment prior to being given a full induction and training for the role.
