Job summary

Careerlink is recruiting reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for a healthcare distribution client near the BS35 4GG radius. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to areas including Newport, Blackwood and Thornbury, and load/unload cages, dollies and pallets with pallet trucks supplied.

Applicants must have a full in-date licence, tachograph, and DQC, with up to 6 points. Early starts (03:00–05:00) and physical work are required. Pay rates range from £19 to £22 per hour, with overtime after 42 hours.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving experience preferred; Class 2 accepted.
• Maximum of 6 points on driving licence.
• Must be comfortable with physical work (loading/unloading cages, dollies, pallets).
• Early starts are required (roughly 03:00–05:00).
• Must have full in-date licence, tachograph (tacho) and DQC.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to areas such as Newport, Blackwood and Thornbury.
• Load/unload cages, dollies, pallets; pallet trucks supplied.
• Drive Class 1 (or Class 2) vehicle and maintain good communication with customers.
• Ensure safety and compliance during customer handovers and deliveries.

Careerlink have a very exciting new opportunity for all HGV Class 1 drivers looking for work!

We are recruiting for some highly-reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to work for one of our well-established healthcare distribution clients based in the BS35 4GG radius.

Day To Day Duties

• Multi-drop stores deliveries in areas such as Newport, Blackwood and Thornbury.
• Unloading and loading vehicle cages , Dollies Base and Pallets (Pallet trucks are supplied)
• Required to drive a Class 1 & Class 2 Vehicle (would still be paid at Class 1 rate)
• Maintaining good communication between yourself and the customer

What we are looking for?

• Class 1 multi-drop deliveries would be ideal however will accept Class 2 experience.
• Maximum of 6 points on driving licence (anything more will not be accepted)
• Must be okay with physical work (loading and unloading cages , Dollies Base and Pallets on and off the lorry)
• Must be okay with early morning starts (Ranging from 03:00AM - 05:00AM)
• Must have a full and in date - driving licence , tacho and DQC

Pay Rates

• Monday - Friday - Days - £19.00 per hour
• Monday - Friday - Nights - £20.00 per hour
• Saturday - All Hours - £21.00 per hour
• Sunday - All Hours - £22.00 per hour
• Overtime - After 42 Hours - Days - £28.50
• Overtime - After 42 Hours - Nights - £30.00
• Overtime is paid after a 42 hour working week.
• Paid for a minimum of 8.4 hours.
• Driving Assessment is required
