Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver in South Kirkby (WF9 3FD). You will hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with RoRo experience, and operate wagon and drag units on a Monday–Friday schedule, 45 hours per week, 06:00–16:00, with local movements.

This role focuses on safe, efficient trailer and container movements between local plants, with minimal manual handling and a DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• RoRo (Roll-On/Roll-Off) experience is essential.
• Experience operating wagon and drag units.
• Strong focus on safety and vehicle compliance.
• Required to undertake a DBS check.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Transport up to two loads between local plants with minimal handballing.
• Operate wagon and drag units safely and in compliance.
• Carry out local movements on a Monday–Friday schedule with attention to safety.

Class 1 Driver

Location: South Kirkby, WF9 3FD

Pay Rate: £17.52 per hour

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 16:00

This is a multi-drop wagon and drag role, transporting up to two full or empty loads between local plants. The role involves minimal manual handling, with the primary focus on safe and efficient movement of trailers and containers across sites.

• Previous RoRo (Roll-On/Roll-Off) experience is essential
