Job summary

Pure Staff Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support a Birmingham-based temperature-controlled logistics business. Immediate starts and long-term opportunities await reliable drivers with at least 12 months of Class 1 experience.

You will trunk between regional distribution centres using refrigerated trailers, with day and night shifts across a Monday-Sunday pattern.PAYE pay, clear payslips and rolled-up holiday pay options are provided.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence is required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Valid Driver CPC Card is required.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
• Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking runs between Regional Distribution Centres using refrigerated trailers.
• Transport chilled and frozen products while maintaining temperature-controlled standards.
• Follow safety and regulatory guidelines and comply with hours and tachograph rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for handover to next shift.

Pure Staff’s Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Birmingham. Immediate starts and steady work (block bookings) are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing work with one of the world’s leading temperature-controlled logistics businesses, specialising in the storage and distribution of chilled and frozen food products. Operating an extensive network of strategically located cold storage facilities and distribution centres, they play a vital role in supplying major supermarkets, food manufacturers and food-service businesses throughout the UK and internationally.

Drivers will complete trunking runs between Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) using modern refrigerated trailers, transporting chilled and frozen products while maintaining the highest standards of temperature-controlled distribution. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with typical day shift start times around 01:00hrs and average shift lengths of approximately 12 hours. This is ongoing work with genuine long-term prospects, and temporary to permanent opportunities are very common for reliable drivers who demonstrate a professional attitude.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:

Night shifts are starts between 18:00hrs and 06:00hrs

Monday to Friday (Days) = £18.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.17ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Saturdays = £19.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £21.29ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Sundays and Bank Holidays = £20.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £22.41ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
