Job summary

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for our prestigious client’s site based in Stafford. Consolidated pay rates £17.35 - £21.85 per hour with fixed shift patterns and ad hoc work available.

Nationwide deliveries and collections for many customers, trunking and RDC runs, plus routine vehicle inspections and paperwork in compliance with policies. Staffline offers consistent start times and free on-site parking, with a strong presence across England, Scotland and Wales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your UK driving licence.
• Digi card and Driver Qualification Card (DQC) held.
• UK driving licence C+E.

Responsibilities

• Nationwide deliveries and collections for many customers.
• Trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs (depending on the role).
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting defects.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks and other paperwork in line with company policies.

Great opportunity to work as an HGV Class 1 Driver for our clients nationwide, palletised temperature-controlled distribution delivering to major RDC's wholesalers and industrial customers.

Your Time at Work

• Nationwide deliveries and collections for many customers
• Trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs (depending on the role)
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations

Our Perfect Worker

• 6 months minimum of HGV driving experience
• No more than 6 points
