Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Redditch is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our busy transport team. You will handle multi-drop deliveries, manage returns from stores, and maintain safe loading and unloading procedures while delivering high levels of customer service.

You will work full-time on a permanent contract with a 2-week rota and regular night shifts, staying away from home as required. The role offers a competitive salary, night out allowances, pension and healthcare

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement is required.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries, up to 6 drops per shift, and collect returns.
• Handle palletised goods and cages with safe loading/unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with Depot Transport Office and deliver excellent customer service.
• Operate vehicles safely and ensure all documents are completed accurately and on time.

Here atGXO Redditch we are looking for HGV Class 1 Driverto join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a 2-week rota pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Thursday / Week 2 - Wednesday to Saturday, with start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

Please note, this role requires regular nights out and the successful candidte will be expected to stay away from home when required as part of the role.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out multidrop deliveries, typically averaging up to 6 drops per shift, while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
• Willingness to complete regular nights out and stay away from home as required by the role
