Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking Class 1 drivers for Halkyn/Holywell area in Wales to operate HGV tipper vehicles for a cement, aggregates, and ready-mix supplier.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Class 1 Tipper Driver

Location: Halkyn/Holywell (Wales)

Pay Rate: £15.97 to £17.89 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:00 start times)

Overtime: Occasional Saturdays when required

Experience: 12 months Class 1 essential

Assessment: Yes - required before start

Role & Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
• Performing tipper work (training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately
• Continuously maintaining high standards while following site safety procedures

About you

• Class 1 Driving Licence with at least 12 months commercial driving experience
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi‑tacho card
• Up to date with WTD regulations
• Can accept up to 6 points on licence (excluding DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements)
• Previous experience with cement or aggregates is beneficial
• UK resident able to travel to and from the site for shifts; no visa or relocation assistance provided
