Job summary

Boughey Distribution is expanding its driver population at our Wardle site on permanent Day shift contracts, 5 on 3 off. You will complete vehicle checks, ensure safe deliveries across Cheshire, and assist with yard tasks as needed.

Essential requirements include a Category C&E license, CPC and tachograph card, and prior Class 1 vehicle experience. Strong communication with customers and the Boughey team is expected.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries and coordinate with on-site Boughey team.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading/unloading positions and securing loads.
• Provide yard support including handball or pump truck deliveries where required.

Due to continued growth and investment in our top of the range fleet, we are growing our driver population across our Wardle site on the Day shift working 5 on 3 off, day shifts on permanent contracts!,,

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift -complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required
• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
