Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Crewe is recruiting drivers on a permanent day shift, 5 on 3 off, with full CPC and tachograph requirements and prior Class 1 experience. You will perform vehicle checks, ensure safe deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas, and assist with yard duties as needed.

The role offers weekly pay at £18.50 per hour, 29 days holiday a year, funded training, and a range of benefits including pension, life assurance, cycle to work, and access to shopping and travel

Qualifications

• Current CPC and tachograph card with understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries on delivery and coordinate with on-site Boughey team.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist in yard duties as required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?
