Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is urgently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers (Cat CE) for a busy logistics operation in Middlewich. The role offers ongoing weekday work with 6am–7am starts, and a competitive pay rate of £17.00 per hour PAYE or £21.00 per hour Umbrella PAYE.

Key duties include trailer safety checks, safe operation of HGV Class 1 vehicles, paperwork completion, and maintaining a professional presence. Shunting experience is optional with training available.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) licence is required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trailer safety checks before each journey.
• Drive and operate an HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable vehicle.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately where required.
• Follow all road transport legislation and company procedures.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
