Job summary

Briggs Equipment is hiring a Class 1 Driver in Maidenhead to provide a high standard of service to customers and follow transport plans. The role requires safe loading/unloading, tachograph maintenance, and clear communication with customers.

The successful candidate will have a Class 1 (C+E) licence, Digi Tacho card, up-to-date CPCs, and be a reliable team player with strong customer service skills. Prior loading of access equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Licence (C+E) Digi Tacho Card and all up to date CPC cards are required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Be a team player with good customer service abilities.
• Previous loading/unloading of access equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard of service to customers.
• Follow daily transport plans and schedules.
• Comply with transport legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports.
• Maintain accurate tachograph and transport records.
• Safely load, unload and secure equipment.
• Keep vehicle clean, safe and well maintained.

The role

• Deliver a high standard of service to all customers.
• Follow daily transport plans and schedules.
• Comply with all current and future transport legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports via the compliance app
• Maintain accurate tachograph and transport records.
• Safely load, unload, and secure equipment using straps, chains, and other restraints.
• Keep vehicleclean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Report all incidents in line with company and legal procedures.
• Communicate with customers prior to arrival.
