Job summary

A leading company in workforce solutions is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for temporary bookings in Leeds. This role requires a valid HGV C1 License and reliability, with competitive pay rates ranging from £16.00 to £21.29 per hour depending on shifts. Candidates must be available to start within 7 days and be prepared to attend an assessment.

• Must have a clean valid UK License.
• Must have valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Ensure load is secure and within legal weight limits.
• Plan routes efficiently and adhere to health & safety.
• Complete paperwork and ensure cab is kept clean.

Job Title:HGV Class 1 Driver
Base Location:Leeds, LS10
Shift:06:00-08:00am Starts
Hours:Monday – Sunday
Basis:Temporary (Daily Bookings)
Pay: PAYE ONLY
Monday – Friday – AM Shift - £16.00/ £17.93 Inc Hol
Monday – Friday – PM Shift - £17.00/ £19.05 Inc Hol
Saturday - £18.00/ £20.17 Inc Hol
Sunday - £19.00 / £21.29 Inc Hol
Job Duties:
- Container Work
- Using Sliding Trailers
- Ensure load is secure and within legal weight limits
- Drop load from point A to point B Safely & Securely
- Ensure rest breaks are met, correctly using tachograph card.
- Plan routes efficiently
- Adhere to Health & Safety
- Complete paperwork
- Ensure cab is kept clean and tidy
- Ensure good customer service
- No Handball or Strapping

As A Person:
- Be Happy to attend assessment/ site tour/ (paid if successful)
- Once assessment is complete be ready and available to start work within the next 7 days
- Own safety shoes, Hi Vis, Hard Hat & Safety Goggles.- Must have a valid right to work
- Must hold a valid HGV C1 License
- No more than 6 points on license. (SP50/SP30) No DD’s accepted. - Be willing to learn
- Must have a clean valid UK License
- Must have valid right to work in the UK
- Pay attention to detail
- Be a reliable candidate
- Have good communication skills
