Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an LGV CE / HGV Class 1 Driver in Knottingley to join a growing transport team. This temp-to-perm role offers guaranteed hours and a strong earning potential with an hourly rate of £18.14 and associated shifts across the UK.

You will deliver bulk oil nationwide, operate tanker vehicles, and complete all checks and documentation while delivering excellent customer service. Night outs are typically 2–4 per week.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV CE (Class 1) licence required.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No major endorsements.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Bulk oil deliveries nationwide.
• Operate specialist tanker vehicles (full training provided).
• Use hoses and reels for metered deliveries.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering bulk oil products to customers across the UK.

Duties Include:

• Bulk oil deliveries nationwide
• Operating specialist tanker vehicles (full training provided)
• Metered deliveries using hoses and reels
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery documentation
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery sites
• Typically 2-4 nights out per week

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Valid LGV CE (Class 1) Licence
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card

• Ability to pass a driving assessment

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Tanker experience
• HIAB or crane experience
• Experience with metered delivery systems
