Job summary

Proman is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) drivers for an established operation in Heywood. This role offers regular ongoing work with weekly pay and competitive rates, plus bonuses.

You will carry out store deliveries of temperature-controlled goods, use a tail lift, and manage paperwork and safety checks, ensuring compliance with hours regulations. Weekend shifts are included; LTD drivers are not accepted.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No IN10, DR10, CD10, MS10, TS10 or similar major endorsements
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
• Professional and reliable attitude

LGV HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers Wanted - Heywood

We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established operation based in Heywood. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with competitive rates and additional earning potential.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Store deliveries to customer locations
• Delivering temperature-controlled products
• Using a tail lift to safely unload cages at delivery points
• Collecting and reloading empty cages for return to the depot
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and compliance checks
• Ensuring vehicle safety checks are completed in line with company procedures

Pay Rates (Paid Weekly)

AM Shifts (22:45 - Midday)

• £21.50 per hour
• £24.10 per hour including holiday pay

PM Shifts (Midday - 22:45)

• £23.44 per hour
• £26.27 per hour including holiday pay

Additional Payments

• Weekend Bonus: £61.15 per shift
• Nights Out Bonus: £28.79 per night (if required)
• Bank Holiday Bonus

Shift Information

• Start times between 00:01 and 10:00
• Typical shifts are 10-12 hours
• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed pay
• Weekend working is mandatory
• Ongoing, regular work available

Shift Patterns

• Thursday to Monday
• Friday to Tuesday
• Two consecutive weekday rest days

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
