Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Coventry is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a full-time, permanent role on an “Any 5 days from 7” pattern. Start time window 02:00–04:00, 48 hours per week, supporting Halfords and keeping the supply chain moving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries, typically averaging up to 6 drops per shift, while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.

Here at GXO Coventry we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘Any 5 days from7’ pattern, with start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

• An additional £3.00 per hour, for any hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00
