Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking Class 1 Drivers for a Birmingham site (Hams Hall) to work with a major supermarket client. You need a Class 1 licence, 2 years' experience, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho, and be available for night shifts with weekend work.

Pay is £22.60–£47.36 per hour with weekly pay. Duties include trunking, store deliveries and vehicle checks; you may drive Class 2 vehicles occasionally and will be paid at the Class 1 rate when this happens. Immediate starts offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Class 1 driving licence and at least 2 years of experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card required.
• Endorsements: up to 6 points allowed, no DD/TT/DR/CD/IN.
• Must adhere to WTD regulations and monitor working hours.

Responsibilities

• Trunking and store deliveries.
• Perform industry standard vehicle checks.
• Occasionally drive Class 2 vehicles; paid at Class 1 rate when this occurs.

• As a Class 1 driver, you may be required to drive Class 2 vehicles from time to time. You will be paid at the Class 1 rate when this happens.

About you

• You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 2 years experience driving commercially.
• You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
• As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and be able to monitor and keep your working hours accordingly.
• You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.

Hours: Full-time hours (Night shifts currently, working both Saturday and Sunday required)
