Job summary

Savanna Staff Solutions is hiring a Class 1 Driver for a permanently employed role near Chalgrove, Oxford. The position starts as a temp-to-perm, with a daily schedule of 7am to 3pm and a base at the site. After permanent status is achieved, you will be paid £35,000 per year.

The role focuses on careful vehicle manoeuvring, trailer hooking/unhooking, and precise yard organization; candidates should have at least 1 year of Class 1/HGV on-road experience and a solid health and safety mindset.

• Coordinate with team leader on trailer/s to be used at the front.
• Occasionally deliver trailers/units to service sites as required.

Class 1 Driver

Savanna staff Solutions are looking for a class 1 driver for a “permanently employed” role for our client close to Chalgrove Airfield Oxford - OX44

This class 1 driver role is a temp to perm and will be suited to someone of a slightly older and more experienced disposition who is looking for a much slower pace of work. After you have gone permanent you will be salary paid at £35K per annum

Your daily Class 1 driver duties will consist of the following:

• Working just 8 hours per day 7am - 3pm
• Hooking and unhooking trailer and moving them in and out of a warehouse/hanger
• Liaising with team leader as to what type of trailer/s should be at the front
• Occasionally running trailers/units to service sites for PMI's

This Class 1 Driver role is anything but fast paced, in fact there could be long periods of time where you may not be driving or moving vehicles so you are needed to make sure the site is well kept and looking good

All Class 1 driver applicants must be experienced and highly skilled at manoeuvring the vehicle - there are 21 spaces for vehicles in the warehouse and precision driving is key to this role!
