Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting Class 1 drivers for an international client based in Bridgwater (TA6). The role offers PAYE pay at £20.56 per hour with overtime to £27.53 per hour after 40 hours.

Duties include pre-checks, deliveries to clients and depots, scanning/loading, and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines. Requirements include a neat appearance, strong attention to detail, a valid Class 1 licence (12 months+), and valid Tachograph and CPC qualifications.

Qualifications

• Presentable appearance and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• 12 months+ Class 1 Licence held.
• Valid Tachograph and CPC qualifications.

Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting Class 1 drivers for our Internationally known client in Bridgwater (TA6). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to work on an ongoing basis:

• Saturday to Wednesday - 08:00am
• Monday to Friday - 10:00am
• £20.56 per hour*
• £27.53 per hour after 40 hrs

* Please note that the pay rate is PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle pre-checks
• Making deliveries / collections to clients and depots
• Scanning and loading of own vehicle
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• 12 months + Class 1 Licence
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
