Job summary

ProRec is looking for HGV Class 1 drivers (day/night) and Tramper drivers in the Bridgwater area. Roles include TEMP or TEMP TO PERM with immediate starts, with Umbrella or LTD accepting applications. Pay is competitive within the industry.

The role involves delivering to schedules, maintaining the vehicle, securing loads, and keeping transport paperwork up to date. Various shift patterns available incl. days, nights, and tramper patterns.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence (12 months minimum)
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required
• No more than 6 points on licence (insurance reason)
• Tramper experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver to a schedule and timescales
• Maintain vehicle in good condition and secure loads
• Complete transport paperwork and driver documentation
• Carry out daily safety checks and reports

THIS ROLE IS AN ONGOING HGV 1 Tramper role

What does the role involve?

As HGV 1 Tramper Driver, you will be working in a safety critical role and be responsible for delivering to a schedule and working to timescales. You will be required to maintain good care of your vehicle, ensure all loads are secured, perform daily safety checks, and keep transport documents and paperwork updated.

Working Hours and Pay

Monday to Friday Day Drivers - Tanker work

Monday to Friday Night Drivers - Tanker work

Monday to Friday/Saturday Tramping shift pattern - General Haulage

Sunday to Thursday/Friday Tramping shift pattern - General Haulage

Pay for days and Tramping (Plus £25 per night out tax-free) via Umbrella or LTD = £20.00 PER HOUR (LTD or Self-Employed accepted)ORPAYE Pay is £16.34 including holiday pay

Pay for Nights via Umbrella or LTD = £21.00 PER HOUR (LTD or Self-Employed accepted)OR PAYE Pay is £18.72 including holiday pay
