Job summary

GXO Logistics in Barry, Wales is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a full-time role based at East Aberthaw. You will trunk cement tanks and tautliners, support deliveries across South Wales and the South West of England, and receive full bulk discharge training.

A disciplined safety approach and vehicle checks are essential, with a 40-hour week starting at 05:00. Benefits include pension, 23 days leave plus holidays, and access to the Hapi App for discounts.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving articulated Class 1 vehicles preferred.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our Tarmac team in East Aberthaw, Barry CF62 3ZR.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, typical start is 05:00 and contracted to 40 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• You will be trunking and loading bulk cement tanks and tautliners of palletised packet cement from Aberthaw, supporting deliveries across South Wales and the South West of England
• Full bulk discharge training provided making this a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience
• Conduct vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
• Complete all required documentation and delivery records accurately

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving articulated class 1 vehicles preferred
