ARR Craib Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Relief Driver based in Aberdeen. The role covers holiday and sickness, with variety across collections and deliveries in the local area.

The job involves multi-drop deliveries, tail-lift operations, and manual handling. You'll work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends as required, and participate in ongoing training to maintain high safety standards.

Competenze

• UK Class 1 CE Licence is required.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Current Counterbalance licence.
• Excellent customer service and ability to meet deadlines.

Mansioni

• Drive using a range of trailers (refrigerated units with tail lifts, curtain sider, and flatbed) for multi-drop deliveries and collections across the Aberdeen local area.
• Deliver milk cages to retail stores and return empties in Aberdeen; deliver bakery products to retail, wholesale and convenience outlets (tail‑lift operation and manual handling).
• Deliver and collect bulk materials such as scrap metals, as well as oil and gas equipment.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly with straps, nets and other securing devices.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone to maintain vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and participate in regular training sessions.

• Days start between 02:30hrs - 07:00hrs, finish time circa 12:30hrs - 17:00hrs.
• Nights start between 16:00hrs - 18:00hrs, finish time circa 02:00hrs - 06:00hrs

Are you looking for a permanent, full-time role that offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to be part of a dynamic team? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a key player in our logistics operations where you will be required to cover holiday/sickness, covering a wide range of collections and deliveries.

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Use a range of trailers including refrigerated units with tail lifts, curtain sider, and flatbed to carry out multi drop deliveries and collections across the local area.
• This includes delivering milk cages to retail stores and returning empties in the Aberdeen area, delivering bakery products to retail, wholesale, and convenience outlets across Aberdeen (involving tail‑lift operation and manual handling), and delivering and collecting bulk materials such as scrap metals, as well as oil and gas equipment.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
• This is a permanent full time position to cover holiday and sickness. Therefore, a flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work, including weekends as and when required.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Current Counterbalance licence.
