Job summary

Pure Staff Ltd is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for regular day work with 2, 3 or 4+ shift patterns per week in the West Midlands. Work includes refrigerated distribution and nationwide routes, with shifts starting early morning and lasting up to 10 hours.

You must have UK C+E and CPC, a tachograph card, and at least 12 months of Class 1 experience; penalty points limited to 6. Weekly PAYE pay is provided by Pure Staff.

• UK Category C+E Licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph cards.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 refrigerated distribution routes.
• Carry out 1–3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift.
• Shifts start between 04:00 and 16:00 and last 8–10 hours.
• Maintain compliance with drivers' hours and tachograph rules.

Looking for regular Class 1 work without needing to commit to five shifts every week? This opportunity is particularly suited to experienced drivers looking for 2, 3 or 4+ day shifts per week, including drivers wanting to combine weekday and weekend work.

We have work available throughout the week, although our strongest requirements are towards the end of the week and across the weekend. Drivers who can include Friday, Saturday, Sunday and/or Monday within their regular availability will therefore have access to the greatest number of shifts. Tell us which days you can regularly work and we'll discuss the shift patterns available.

HGV Class 1 Day Driver Pay Rates

Monday to Friday Days = £19.05ph

The rates above include 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay. Prefer traditional holiday pay? No problem. You can instead have your holiday pay accrued separately and paid when you take annual leave.

What Does the Work Involve?

This is straightforward Class 1 refrigerated distribution work, typically involving:

• 1 to 3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift
• Refrigerated trailers
• Regular, planned nationwide routes
• Day starts available across a range of times between 04:00 and 16:00
• Shifts averaging approximately 8 to 10 hours
• Regular ongoing requirements

Previous refrigerated or RDC experience is useful but not essential.

What Working Pattern Can I Do?

We're interested in speaking to drivers who can offer regular weekly availability, rather than requiring everyone to commit to the same fixed rota. We manage this clients rota so we can work around you. We can consider drivers looking for:

• 4 or more day shifts per week
• A combination of weekday and weekend shifts

Friday to Monday is our busiest period, so availability across some of these days will give you the best opportunity for regular weekly shifts. We also have night shifts available at higher hourly rates, so please speak to our Driving Team if you would consider nights.

What You'll Need

To work as an HGV Class 1 Driver with Pure Staff, you will need:

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and tachograph regulations
• A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
