Job summary

Southern Recruitment Ltd T/A Driver Hire Brighton is seeking experienced Class 1 drivers (Cat C+E) with ADR to support a healthcare waste company. Immediate start with day and night shifts available.

You will handle safe collection, movement and unloading of clinical waste and complete paperwork via a handheld terminal. Applicants must hold a full UK licence with CPC and Digi Card, ADR certificate, and have at least 12 months Class 1 driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid UK license with CPC and Digi Card; ADR certificate required.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• No DR10 endorsements on driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, move and unload clinical waste, coordinating to incinerators and transfer stations.
• Follow health and safety practices and company procedures at all times.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation using a handheld terminal; liaise with customers.

Job description

We are looking for experienced Class 1 (Cat C+E) drivers with ADR to work for a leading healthcare waste company. Immediate start, day and night shifts available.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be involved in the safe and timely collection, movement and unloading of clinical waste. Working independently, to facilitate the transportation/movement of large waste containers from various locations to incinerators, Treatment Plants and Transfer Stations.
• You’ll follow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company's procedures.
• You’ll act as a key point of contact with our customers, completing all associated paperwork and relevant documentation via a hand-held terminal.

You will have:

• A valid Full UK License with CPC and Digi Card, with an ADR certificate - packages 6.1/ 6.2
• You’ll have 12 months driving experience in Class 1
• No DR10 endorsements on driving record
• Having a flexible approach will be essential.
• You’ll demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
• You’ll adhere to all Tachograph, Driver and Road Regulations
• You’ll have the ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe movement of large, wheeled units on and off vehicles.
• You may also have previous experience working in a similar industry and/or in a multi drop service driving role.
