Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client based in Tamworth for ongoing ad hoc work. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

This role requires a UK driving licence and CPC card, with a 05:30 start time and minimal manual handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation.

Responsibilities

• Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries.
• Carrying out approximately 3-4 drops per shift.
• No handballing; only opening/closing curtains.
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks.
• Accurately completing delivery paperwork.
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours & Working Time Regulations.
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for flexible work with straightforward nationwide deliveries and minimal manual handling.

Job Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries
• Carrying out approximately 3-4 drops per shift
• No handballing involved - the only manual work required is opening and closing the trailer curtains
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Accurately completing delivery paperwork
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers

Requirements

• Minimum 6 month\'s commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
