Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth are recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver for ongoing ad hoc work with nationwide deliveries and no handballing. Start time is 05:00, with flexible ad hoc shifts and weekly pay.

As a Class 1 Driver you will ensure safe transport of goods, complete deliveries across the country, and maintain daily vehicle checks while providing a professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation.
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries.
• 3-4 drops per shift.
• No handballing - opening/closing trailer curtains only.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
• Completing transport paperwork accurately.
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and WTD.
• Delivering excellent customer service at delivery locations.

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client for ongoing ad hoc work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for flexible work with straightforward nationwide deliveries and no handballing.

Job Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently while providing a professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries
• 3-4 drops per shift
• No handballing - the only manual work involved is opening and closing the trailer curtains
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Completing all relevant transport paperwork accurately
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Delivering excellent customer service at delivery locations

Requirements

• Minimum 6 month's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
